The extensive renovations are evident. my room felt new with updated furniture and a large TV. The breakfast area is brighter now, and I appreciate the honor system for coffees and juices.
Parking was a nightmare upon arrival, and my shower door barely opened due to awkward placement next to the toilet. The curtains didn't adequately block light, making morning sleeping in impossible. Additionally, a restaurant on-site would have been handy since many options were closed during my stay.

The location was ideal. just a short walk to the castle. The breakfast was a delightful spread, and the honesty bar added a nice touch of relaxation after a day of exploration. The staff, when present, were helpful.
Early morning noise was a bit disruptive, but it didn’t overshadow our overall experience.

i was almost ready to recommend this hotel until i realized, no one bothered to fix the shower door, which barely opened, and the curtains let in so much light i thought i was at a disco. a complimentary welcome gift woudl have been nice, at least then i might've felt special instead of just another guest.
